How do I know if I’ve found the right massage therapist?
There are lots of factors that go into finding what feels right for you! When you meet with your prospective therapist, ask them about their experience with different types of massage and how they approach each client’s needs individually. Make sure they communicate clearly with you about what their process is like and what kinds of results they’re aiming for. You should also feel comfortable asking questions about their training and certification, so make sure to ask those too! If at any point during your session something doesn’t feel right for whatever reason (for example, if it hurts too much), don’t hesitate to ask your therapist about it—they should be happy to adjust the session to meet your treatment goals.
